Medical schools and other health profession programs seek applicants with a well-rounded undergraduate education like that offered by Christopher Newport University’s liberal learning curriculum. Like most colleges and universities, CNU does not offer a “pre-med” or “pre-health” major; however, our pre-health program can help students from any academic major prepare for application to medical and other health profession programs. 

Besides offering the necessary pre-requisite coursework, we provide additional helpful resources - academic and career advising, mentoring, clinical internships, workshops and seminars, helping highly motivated students gain admission to the professional school of their choice.
